"Old Man's" Beach...

"Old Man's" is another favorite beach that we go to whenever we're in Cabo. These are the last of the Cabo pictures...

Tanner has to have all his stuff whenever we go to the beach.  He's gotten pretty good at carrying it himself, so he can bring as much as he wants!

Posing with Aunt La La,

K, I'm ready to play...

All I wanted was 1 good picture of Tanner and Kate playing on the beach...
Take 1.

Take 2.

Take 3.

This one will have to do...!

Kate learned to crawl in Cabo, here she is practicing.

Burying Uncle Cole in the sand.

Oops, Tanner "fell" in.

I'm stuck!

On the way home...this is when you know you've had a good time!

Thanks Mom & Dad...

When I told Tanner to pack the toys he wanted for the beach, he didn't even hesitate to pack his new dump truck and bulldozer. Betcha' didn't think those toys would make it all the way to Mexico, did you? He LOVES them and loved playing with them on the beach! Thank you!

Walking on water...

What do you think?

Beach Babe...

Here are some more pictures of sweet Kate enjoying the beach.

I like the water mom, this is cool!

"Is that me in the water?"  Noticing her reflection!

Splish!  Splash!

Too Cute!

I don't remember what she is looking at, but boy is she focused!

Getting hit by a wave.

Not quite sure what happened.

As long as Daddy has me, I know I'm safe.

Tanner is a beach babe too!

DIRTY Sand...

One of our favorite beaches in Mexico is Los Cerritos. It's a ways from Cabo, but the beach is perfect in so many ways, and the surf is usually amazing (I've even caught a wave at this beach) that the drive is well worth it. The only downside...DIRTY Sand, the kind that sticks to everything and is impossible to get off of anything...

Can you see the sand all over her face? I'm really surprised none of it ended up in her eyes, thank goodness! (If you click on the picture, it enlarges it and you can really see the sand all over her face, by the end of the day, it was in ever crease and fold on her chubby little body. Too cute)!

Still having fun!

Poor Papa John...

Matt's dad got a new toy for Christmas. A new lightweight surfboard! How unfortunate that one of the first days out in the waves, he hit a wave in the just the right way to snap it in half.

We were all so bummed for him, but give him another surfboard, and the right wave...

...and he'll come back with a big smile on his face every time!! Love that smile!

On the way to Cabo...

You'd think that this would be the end of our vacation, tuckered out from all the fun and play. But this is actually on the plane heading down to Mexico. This picture says it all, we definitely needed this (that, I guess it has been a couple of weeks) vacation. Kate was sound asleep in my arms and I had been asleep too.

Backcountry Powder

Blue sky days have been rare this winter, but Matt caught a good one last Monday during a day ski trip. A link to his website post with more photos.

9 months!

This beautiful little water girl turned nine months recently. Here are her stats:
Weight: 19.4 lbs (53%)
Height: 27.5 in (38 %)
Head Circumference: 17.9 in (84%)

I just love this little girl to pieces!  She has such an adventurous personality and just can't wait for me to put her down so she can explore the world.  At the same time, she is such a snuggle bug and will just crawl up to me and pull herself up my leg and just look at me until I pick her up, just so she can be with mom.  Oh, I just love her so much.  She is crawling EVERYWHERE now and getting into everything, but I love this stage, and I  am cherishing every minute of it.

I love this little Beach Boy...

I love, love, love this picture of Tanner. He looks like the perfect beach/surfer boy. And if you look closely over his left eye, you can see his first black eye - from jumping off the bed.

Guitar Lesson...

We just got back from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with Matt's family about a week ago. We had such a wonderful time, it was definitely a very much needed vacation! I have sooooo many pictures to filter through, but I had to post something about our trip (my parents have been asking). I will be posting LOTS more...soon.

Tanner is having a guitar lesson from his Uncle Nick...

Is this not adorable?  Perfect hand position, and I love how closely he is watching what Nick is doing and trying to copy.

Trying it out on his own.

"I think this is more efficient, I can hear much more music this way."

"Nick, can you come show me again, I already forgot..."

Watching very closely this time...

"Okay, so I see that's where you place your hands, but...

"...I still think this way works just as good."

"This guitar thing is a lot of work! I'll try it again when I'm a bit bigger."
