'Tis spring in Utah which can only mean one thing...stable snow for big mountain skiing!

Mount Timpanogos has caused me to salivate for 20 years straight, just thinking of what it would be like to ski down the southwest face (pictured here). My good buddy Alan, has also suffered with this salivating affliction, so we decided enough was enough and we skied the beast.

Crazy Animals...

You could definitely tell it was spring when we were at the zoo.  The animals were very, hmmm, how should I say it...active, crazy, maybe a bit of both.  Check out some shots that I got from the day...

If you look at the picture, it looks like one ostrich, until the last picture you can see that it is actually two.  And the male ostrich's mating dance (which I did not get on camera), was hilarious.  There was some serious impressing going on.

The funniest part of the whole thing is Mr. Ostrich ran off when finished and Mrs. Ostrich was completely worked over.  Couldn't get up.

This duck had an identity issue.  The poor thing thought he was a flamingo...(look at his leg).

They even had a two-headed giraffe!!  (Just kidding, but it kinda looks like it huh)!

I can't believe this monkey is hanging on with one foot!  Amazing!

The adorable baby orangutan.  She's trying to climb up the wall.

The daddy orangutan.  They are so cute when they are little...

Another Day at the Phoenix Zoo...

No, we're not back in Phoenix. =) A couple of weeks ago, we went to Phoenix with Matt for work since it was SNOWING here in Utah, and I desperately needed some sunshine. It just so happened that my dad was there that same week, so we got together one day at the Phoenix zoo. It was so much fun, and the weather was perfect. I can't wait for the Utah bipolar weather to settle into some normal warm spring temperatures.

The zoo was so much fun for Kate this time. She was so much more observant and loved, LOVED the animals. She couldn't get enough of the sting ray bay. She would have stayed there to play the whole time if Tanner didn't want to move onto the treehouse. Here's Kate trying to catch the sting rays:

Grandpa's turn...

This is the treehouse Tanner wanted to move onto to.  He loves sliding down the slide...

And playing up in the treehouse with random friends. (Everyone is a friend to Tanner, I love that about him)!

Another fun day at the zoo!  Thanks Dad!

Love this picture...

...of my Dad with Kate and Tanner.

This one too...

So Cute! Love you Daddy!

Easter Outfits (finally!)

My parents have been asking for several weeks now to see pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. On Easter, I didn't get pictures of the kids before church, and after church, when I realized I hadn't taken pictures, the kids were hungry, Tanner had already changed, and it just wasn't good timing anymore. It has been so cold lately, that they haven't been able to wear them. Today was a perfectly sunny and warm day, perfect for the photo shoot. Hope you enjoy them Mom and Dad!

Great Grandma Betty...

A couple of weeks ago, we went to AZ with Matt for work.  My grandma lives there in PHX, so one of the days we were there, we went and had a play date with one of my cousins kids.  I knew I wanted to get a picture taken with Grandma and the kids, I just shouldn't have waited until the end of the play date when they were tired, really tired (naps were pretty much non existent while we were there).  So there isn't that "perfect picture," but several that will make me laugh as I remember the moment.  Tanner was so uninterested (as you can see in the picture), and Kate, of course, just wanted her mommy.  Love you Grandma!  Hope you enjoy the pictures.
(I antiqued them because we didn't have great lighting, but I thought the effect was still  pretty cool!)

"Mom, no more pictures, can I just cuddle with Grandma Betty?"

Cute Cousins!

Here's another attempt at trying to get 5 kids under the age of 6 to pose for a picture.  Cute cousins!

Ammon already escaped!

I love Aria's face, she's like, "He's getting away, do you still want me smiling?"

He succeeded!

Kate sad because I took the binky out of her mouth, Ammon sad because we put him back on the chair, and Tanner and Amanda didn't realize we were still taking pictures.  Oh well, we still had a fun play date!
